The Core Curriculum Advisor, provides engaging in-person and virtual webinar presentations focused on the California math adoption. This position supports the Sales organization, primarily by developing and delivering competitive sales presentations, working on special projects assigned by the Adoption Director, and engaging in curriculum and product consultation. The Advisor excels at building quick trust with internal and external partners.

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the California Adoptions Director.

 

Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $87,986.00 and $110,000.00 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

 

Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote; to be considered, you must reside in California.

 

Travel: You can also expect up to approximately 75% regional travel, varying seasonally based on business needs. Be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver highly engaging in-person and virtual sales presentations to current and prospective customers to drive revenue. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise in learning, presenting, and providing high-quality sales presentations and product consulting meetings for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, primarily in Math.
  • Identify customer gaps and expectations and adapt presentations and conversations accordingly. 
  • Convey deep curriculum knowledge with the ability to pivot when it comes to pedagogy and platform.   
  • Plan and deliver presentations at state and national education conferences and meetings. 
  • Successfully adapts to the needs of the district, including (but not limited to) curriculum Q&As, creating pre-sales tools, and professional learning.  
  • Collaborate strategically with sales representatives to customize presentations for districts/schools.  
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Partner Engagement team, having an “all in” attitude. 
  • Travel to sales meetings, conferences, trainings, and promotional events.
  • Work closely with the California Adoptions Director to plan and complete special projects. 
  • Participate in ongoing learning to increase knowledge of pedagogy, product, and state initiatives. 
  • Other duties as required. 

 

Share Your Expertise.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, communication, or business, and at least 3 years of combined experience in education or educational sales; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Excellent presentation skills in person and over Zoom. 
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. 
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred. 
  • In-depth knowledge of technology-based educational resources (i.e., learning management systems and curriculum platforms). 
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to quickly learn our product suite. 
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel seasonally up to 75% regionally.
